Capita TV Licensing is hiring a Field Officer to conduct home visits across the Reading area, explaining licensing requirements and assisting customers with next steps. You will manage your own schedule, travel locally, and receive full training and equipment to succeed.

Candidates should have a full UK driving licence, be comfortable with mobile devices, and enjoy working independently in a field role with flexibility to evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Live within the RG postcode area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in customer interactions.
• Strong problem-solving and judgement.
• Accurate and attentive when recording information.
• Confident working independently and managing workload.
• Comfort with using mobile devices and apps.

Responsibilities

• Visit residential addresses in the RG area.
• Interact with customers professionally and respectfully.
• Explain TV Licensing requirements and options.
• Set up payment plans where appropriate.
• Record visit outcomes using mobile tech.
• Work independently in the field and make informed decisions.
• Occasionally attend court as part of enforcement.
