Job summary

1st Staff is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to deliver personalised home-based tuition, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs and emotional wellbeing. You’ll work in the student’s home or local library, plan bespoke sessions, and support core subjects with a focus on SEN/SEMH needs.

The role offers flexible hours, with 2/3 hours per day, 5 days per week, and opportunities for both part-time and full-time work. DBS disclosure is required for safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH students and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to deliver core subjects tailored to individual needs.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Own transport beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities
