Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis development and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

Your responsibilities include working on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain, aiming to maximize engine performance and efficiency in combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during the concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  • Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  • Thermodynamic development of the engine's gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  • Planning, performing, and evaluating 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
  • Correlating simulation data with measurement data from engine tests and testbenches
  • Improving processes and workflow for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation
  • Knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
  • Experience with data handling from testbenches
  • Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent and precise working style
  • Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language
