Our Team

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project will be based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your task is to optimize engine performance and efficiency in areas such as combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development activities during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  • Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  • Conduct thermodynamic development of engine gas exchange, combustion phases, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  • Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper documentation
  • Create correlations with measurement data from engine tests and test benches
  • Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields
  • Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation
  • Strong knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tools
  • Experience handling testbench data
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent and precise working style
  • Proficiency in German or English, and willingness to learn the other language
