Critical Care Fellow

Critical Care Fellow posts have become available within the Department of Perioperative Medicine, starting on August 6th, 2025.

Applicants: Candidates from any anaesthetic, emergency/acute medical, or surgical background are welcome. Training and experience equivalent to FY2 or higher are required.

Hospital Facilities: The hospital features fifteen operating theatres, including two laminar flow orthopaedic theatres, specialist Ophthalmic and ENT theatres, and two theatres in the maternity unit.

Critical Care Units: Critical care services are provided across two units: ICU 1, a 9-bed unit refurbished in December 2022, and ICU 2, an 8-bed unit opened in January 2017 after a £2.3 million refurbishment. The units handle approximately 800-900 critical care admissions annually.
