SD Worx is seeking a Tribe Lead for its Software Engineering Centre of Excellence to drive AI-native transformation across the organisation. You will define world-class software engineering standards and coach engineering leaders to raise maturity without managing daily delivery.

In this strategic role, you will advocate modern practices, embed governance, and orchestrate AI adoption across tribes, shaping SD Worx into a leading technology company with a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering transformation or CoE initiatives.
• Proven track record shifting engineering culture and advocating AI tooling.
• Strong product mindset and data-driven decision making.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, DevOps, and security by design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Software Engineering Centre of Excellence to improve engineering maturity.
• Advise engineering leadership on trends, modern practices, and AI-native development.
• Set standards, influence culture, coach leaders, and ensure practices keep pace with tech change.
• Define the operating system for engineering and drive AI adoption across tribes.
• Establish governance, quality practices, and engineering maturity models for ongoing improvement.
• Design and deploy Engineering Crews to upskill tribes and solve bottlenecks.
