This is a high-impact leadership role within our Software Engineering Centre of Excellence, providing budget and C-level sponsorship to drive meaningful change across the organisation. Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading engineering transformation.
• Experience with Engineering Excellence or Centre of Excellence initiatives.
• Proven track record influencing senior engineering leadership.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Copilot and Cursor.
• Ability to align internal customers with data-driven prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Software Engineering Centre of Excellence to raise engineering maturity.
• Define collaboration between engineers and AI across the SDLC.
• Promote AI-assisted software engineering throughout design, coding, testing, and operations.
• Set standards for human-AI collaboration, quality, and security.
• Advise teams on modern engineering practices and governance.
• Define and execute AI-augmented engineering strategy and maturity models.
• Modernise legacy systems and accelerate refactoring with AI.
• Define metrics for AI-augmented productivity and SDLC improvement.
• Design career paths and drive peer-to-peer learning through Campus teams.
