Job Title: LATAM Treaty Broker (Spanish Fluency Required)

We are seeking a Treaty Broker with fluency in Spanish to join a growing Reinsurance team within a reputable global Lloyd's broker. This established company employs over 700 professionals worldwide, with a presence in more than 150 countries, and is recognized as a top 10 contributor to Lloyd's.

Your Role

As a Treaty Broker, you will work directly with the LATAM Producer, placing Treaty Marine and Non-Marine risks. Your responsibilities include:

1. Presenting, broking, and negotiating on behalf of the Treaty division with Lloyd's, London, and global Re/Insurance markets via face-to-face meetings, email, or phone.
2. Providing efficient service to clients, focusing on the Latin American and Spanish-speaking client base, and underwriters.
3. Liaising with markets and underwriters mainly on reinsurance deals, negotiating optimal terms, and managing new and renewal business, mid-term amendments, and general inquiries professionally.
4. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, underwriters, and brokers.
5. Handling administrative broking duties, producing placement documentation, maintaining records, and supporting the production of slips, endorsements, and technical handover documents.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Placing Broker handling Facultative or Treaty reinsurance business.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance markets, technical policy forms, slips, and endorsements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with PPL / WhiteSpace platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Cat Modelling.
• CII qualification or studying towards it is preferred.
