The Reinsurance team in group operations is reintroducing the processing of Treaty re-insurance and is seeking an experienced Broker Support individual to support this initiative.

The Reinsurance team is recognized as a market leader in the fast-growing Industry Loss Warranty (ILW) and Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) markets, working with some of the largest global players. They are reintroducing Treaty re-insurance processing and are looking for individuals experienced in this field to assist.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join as broker support within a niche team that is making significant market impact, holding a 10% market share in the ILW space. The team is reintroducing Treaty re-insurance processing, including understanding treaty time limits and excess of loss.

Responsibilities

  • Understand clients’ business and risk management needs; support delivery through ongoing service.
  • Track impending renewals and gather renewal information timely to facilitate terms and firm orders.
  • Liaise with Account Executives and client-facing teams to gather information for market documentation and ensure it meets client and market requirements.
  • Develop and produce bespoke wordings and other wording products as needed.
  • Incorporate agreed wording changes into contracts.
  • Support the creation of presentations for new and existing clients.
  • Prepare accurate and timely client documentation (Market Reform Contracts, Evidence of Cover, Policies, slips, wording clauses, etc.) in line with client and market needs.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with Lloyd's & London insurance and reinsurance markets and reinsurers.
  • Understanding of account handling and broking processes.
  • Knowledge of Treaty Re-insurance (preferred).

Experience

  • Technical insurance experience, such as account handling, broking, or underwriting.
  • Experience in producing Market Reform Contracts (MRCs) and broking.
  • Knowledge of Treaty Insurance is essential.
