Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our homes across Surrey, coordinating daily culinary operations and leading a kitchen team to deliver nutritionally balanced meals within budget. This role requires travel between sites to maintain consistency and standards.

You will ensure high standards of food safety, staff development, and compliant menu planning while upholding Avery's values and residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' culinary experience in busy kitchens.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or City & Guilds catering qualifications; IDDSI training.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the culinary department across homes.
• Prepare nutritionally balanced, appetising meals within budget.
• Place orders with approved suppliers and manage stock levels.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high hygiene standards are met.
