Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our homes across the Kent region. You will manage a culinary team and deliver nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals while staying within budget, travelling to multiple homes.

The ideal candidate will have substantial kitchen leadership experience, strong knowledge of health and safety regulations including COSHH, and qualifications such as NVQ 3 in Food Production or City & Guilds catering, with IDDSI training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' culinary experience in a busy kitchen.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation (COSHH).
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or City & Guilds catering qualifications; trained in IDDSI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by the Home Manager and record dietary notes.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintain stock levels within budget.
• Supervise and direct kitchen staff and host team; train junior staff in basic food prep.
• Demonstrate and uphold Avery Food Safety Management system and high hygiene standards.
