Job summary

YMCA DownsLink Group is seeking a Painter and Decorator based in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex. The role requires travel to various YMCA DLG sites, with a full UK driving licence provided a vehicle.

The post is 37.5 hours per week, permanent and onsite, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Responsibilities include redecorating empty homes to ready them for new residents and carrying out planned redecoration within communal areas and offices.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent in painting and decorating or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in maintenance, cleaning or decorating within supported housing or similar settings.
• Two years' experience in similar duties.
• Knowledge of health and safety relevant to painting and maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Redecorate empty homes to prepare for new residents.
• Decorate communal areas and offices.
• Work across YMCA DLG sites, mainly Brighton and Hove, with travel.
• Communicate with site and maintenance teams to ensure void targets.
