YMCA DownsLink Group in Brighton & Hove is seeking a Maintenance Operative to carry out maintenance, caretaking, and cleaning across multiple sites. You will help keep safe, well-maintained homes for residents aged 16–25 and support the wider housing teams.

The role covers 37.5 hours per week, permanent status, with a UK driving licence essential and a vehicle provided. The position focuses on practical maintenance and safety compliance in supported housing settings.

Qualifikationen

• Strong maintenance experience across a range of trade or repair tasks.
• Experience working in supported housing, residential, or community settings.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and resident wellbeing.

Aufgaben

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance, caretaking, and cleaning service to ensure safe, welcoming, and psychologically informed accommodation.
• Carry out day-to-day maintenance across our sites, with occasional support to other housing schemes.
• Complete maintenance, cleaning, repair, and redecorations within agreed timescales, delegating tasks where appropriate.
• Perform or delegate general caretaking and cleaning duties, including cleaning communal areas, litter-picking, and waste removal.
