Job summary

Seven Group Holdings Limited in Southampton seeks a Locum Painter/Decorator to deliver high-quality painting and decorating across multiple sites. You will join a flexible, project-based role focusing on construction and property maintenance for Housing Operations, with responsibilities spanning inspection, repairs and on-site collaboration.

The role requires a recognised Level 3 qualification in Painting and Decorating, at least 3 years of construction experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship with Level 3 qualification in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction and maintenance.
• Versatile skillset across multiple trade disciplines including minor plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating across various buildings.
• Inspect, fault find, diagnose and repair issues in property maintenance.
• Provide accurate estimates of time and materials for tasks.
• Plan work with minimal waste and ensure plans meet specifications.
• Mentor apprentices and trainees, sharing skills and knowledge.
• Communicate clearly with customers about scope, timelines and queries.
