Job summary

SimWest Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Installation Engineer to install, assemble and mechanically complete industrial equipment at customer sites. The role requires extensive travel, with 80–90% of time on site and UK/overseas assignments.

Based in the North West, within about one hour of Manchester Airport, you will split time between the Manchester workshop and customer sites. Basic salary is circa £40,000 with earning potential around £70,000 per annum through

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical fitting and machinery installation experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble industrial machinery at customer sites.
• Align, fit and position equipment per drawings.
• Operate hand and power tools during installation.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and client teams.
