Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to manage travel insurance claims remotely, from notification through settlement. You will review claim documentation, assess policy coverage, gather evidence, and make informed liability decisions in line with policy terms and regulatory requirements.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with a supportive environment that values development and teamwork.

• Demonstrable experience handling sensitive or complex customer conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

• Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with policy wording, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up to date claim records and documentation.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and providing guidance where appropriate.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join our Travel Claims team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of travel insurance claims, ensuring claims are investigated, assessed and resolved fairly, efficiently and in line with policy terms and regulatory requirements.
