Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated Health Care Assistants to join the Ward T7 Trauma Orthopaedic Unit in Greater Manchester. Roles include assisting healthcare practitioners with routine tasks and providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced unit.

Full and part-time positions available; active participation in patient care and safety, with opportunities for professional development within a large NHS trust serving the Greater Manchester area.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is essential.
• Experience in health and social care is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain communication with patients, relatives and carers, working in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care
• Contribute to own personal development
• Assist in maintaining own and others' health, safety and security
• Contribute ideas for service improvement
• Ensure own actions help to maintain quality and patient safety
• Undertake routine assessment tasks related to individuals' health and well-being, making modifications within prescribed parameters and reporting back to Senior Staff on patients' progress
• Assist in delivering programmes of care to meet individuals' health and well-being, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
• Ability to work flexibly and to meet the demands of the service
