Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is recruiting a Teaching Assistant (Level 3) for the Centre for Skills and Learning, within the Inclusion and Additional Learning Needs team, to support learners who are not accessing mainstream education.

This permanent, part-time post is term-time only (39 weeks) with a 35-hour week, and requires flexibility to work across different sites, including a pupil referral unit, and to apply a trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ3) for Teaching Assistants.
• Experience of working with children of relevant age.
• Training in strategies such as literacy, ICT, or other learning areas (e.g., sign language, dyslexia).
