Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individuals for the position of Trauma Informed Teaching Assistant. This role is essential in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, particularly those who have experienced trauma. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills. This position requires an individual who can effectively manage classroom dynamics while fostering positive relationships with students.

Duties

  • Provide general & 1:1 support to students in a trauma-informed manner, ensuring their emotional and psychological needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to create a collaborative support network.
  • Drive initiatives that promote a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Assist in the management of classroom activities, ensuring that all children feel valued and supported.
  • Implement strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students, particularly those who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop tailored programmes for individual students.

Requirements
