Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to customers in one of our services in Camden. You will connect clients with employability coaches and other agencies, assist with budgeting, benefits, and moving toward permanent housing while maintaining detailed records.

You will need resilience, empathy and a team-focused approach to help customers rebuild their lives. The role involves 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, with weekends and bank holidays

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Experience delivering structured support and risk management.
• Team player with a caring, empathetic, resilient attitude.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, including lived experience where relevant.
• Ability to work flexible hours including lone working.

Responsibilities

• Support customers to access employability coaching and other services.
• Help customers manage money, apply for benefits, and move to permanent housing.
• Keep accurate records and manage administrative tasks.
• Engage customers to improve life skills and independence.
• Identify opportunities for employment, education and training.
• Signpost to external support services and community resources.
• Support customers to be tenancy-ready and financially independent.
• Coordinate with health professionals to monitor healthcare needs.
