Job summary

SENse Learning in the UK is inviting experienced SEND teachers to deliver one-to-one tutoring across SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD and PMLD in home and community settings. You will tailor trauma-informed, student-centred plans and work flexibly with parents, carers, and schools to meet individual needs.

This self-employed role offers varied hours, hybrid/remote options, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is required.
• UK-based with the right to work in the UK; safeguarding knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid support across KS1–KS5 as appropriate.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to needs, EHCP, and risk assessment.
• Report regularly on student progress and outcomes.
