Keys Education in Somerset is seeking an Associate Headteacher for the Taunton sites to lead operational school management and safeguarding. The role focuses on delivering high-quality education within a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment and upholding EPIC values.

You will deputise for the headteacher when needed, drive staff development, curriculum delivery, and pupil outcomes across the site, while ensuring compliance with Independent School Standards.

Qualifications

• QTS or NPQSL required for the role.
• Proven leadership experience in operational school management.
• Strong safeguarding, behaviour management and trauma-informed practice understanding.

Responsabilités

• Lead operational school management and safeguarding compliance.
• Support Headteacher in establishing ethos, culture and priorities.
• Implement trauma-informed approaches in leadership and management.
• Promote EPIC values in all work aspects.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing, curriculum delivery, behaviour and pastoral care.
• Deputise for the headteacher in their absence.
• Ensure statutory compliance and health and safety adherence.
• Monitor classroom practice and pupil progress to support teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on curriculum and assessment strategies.
• Lead behaviour management to maintain a safe environment.
• Engage with families and external agencies to support wellbeing and attendance.
• Report safeguarding concerns promptly and maintain staff/pupil wellbeing initiatives.
