Job summary

Include Education Group Ltd is seeking an Assistant Headteacher to lead on Behaviour, Personal Development and Wellbeing at our therapeutic special school in Darley Abbey. The role combines leadership with a part-time teaching commitment to stay connected to the classroom.

You will deputise for the Headteacher, line manage a team of staff, and support pupils with SEMH and Autism in a trauma-informed setting. Visits welcomed before applying.

Qualifications

• QTS and a degree are required.
• Experience leading school improvement and developing staff.
• Experience with SEMH needs and attendance systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee behaviour, attendance, personal development and pastoral support.
• Teach part of the week and model best practice.
• Line manage teachers and middle leaders.
• Support the SENDCo with EHCP pupils; may act as DSL/Deputy DSL with training.
