Job summary

Oak Learning Partnership seeks an ambitious Head of School for its Alternative Provision site. You will provide visible leadership, oversee safeguarding, curriculum delivery and attendance, and drive improvements to re-engage pupils in learning.

The role combines strategic direction with day-to-day management and staff development within a supportive, trauma-informed framework. You will work to build strong partnerships with families and external agencies, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with successful senior leadership experience.
• Proven record of improving provision and pupil outcomes.
• Strong safeguarding, SEND and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, day-to-day leadership of the Alternative Provision school.
• Lead school improvement, teaching, learning, safeguarding, behaviour and attendance.
• Oversee daily school operations and develop staff across the trust.
• Build partnerships with families, referring schools and external agencies.
• Motivate teams with warmth, accountability and trauma-informed approaches.
