Job summary

Edison Young People is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker – EBD in the Crewe/Nantwich area. You will join a small, close-knit team to support children who’ve faced trauma, providing stability, routines and compassionate care. Training and qualifications will be funded to help you grow.

You’ll work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. A full UK driving licence is required, and you’ll be supported with ongoing development and a recognised Level 4 Diploma in

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for children is welcome; training will be provided.
• Ability to work with a trauma-informed approach to support children’s safety and wellbeing.
• Willingness to learn and develop through funded training and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Be a calm, steady presence in a child’s life when they need it most.
• Support children with daily routines—school, meals, homework, activities.
• Use trauma-informed care to help them feel safe, understood and valued.
• Assist young people in managing emotions and behaviours in a positive way.
• Collaborate with a small team to provide the best care possible.
• Keep the home tidy and safe, and write reports/logs to help things run smoothly.
