Job summary

Espoir Recruitment is seeking a Qualified Residential Support Worker to join our children's residential home in the United Kingdom. You will build positive relationships, provide emotional and practical support, and help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, adhering to safeguarding procedures and Ofsted regulations. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, 12 months' experience, and flexibility for sleep-ins, evenings

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) recognised by Ofsted.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential setting.
• Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
• Flexible shifts including sleep-ins, evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Positive, resilient and child-focused attitude.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support care plans, risk assessments and placement plans.
• Promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches.
• Safeguard children and report concerns per procedures.
• Support education attendance and learning goals.
• Assist with daily living skills and independence.
• Organise activities and participate in meetings and family contact.
• Maintain accurate records and incident reports.
• Administer medication per policy and training.
• Contribute to Ofsted compliance and quality standards.
• Attend team meetings and ongoing training.
• Create a positive, homely, nurturing environment.
