Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Residential Support Worker in Liverpool to support children and young people in a caring residential setting. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment, promote stability, independence and positive outcomes as part of a supportive team.

You will hold a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care or Health & Social Care, have at least 12 months’ experience in a children’s home, a clean UK driving licence, and an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care or Health & Social Care (Children’s Pathway).
• A minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a children’s home (or similar residential setting).
• Full UK driving licence (with fewer than 6 penalty points) and ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS Check (Update Service registration is advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Providing consistent, high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people
• Building positive, trusting relationships and supporting wellbeing through trauma-informed practice
• Supporting daily routines, education, activities, and life-skills development while maintaining accurate records and following care plans

Education
