Job summary

Greenleaf House in Thornhill, Dumfries and Galloway is seeking compassionate residential care professionals to support young people who have experienced trauma. The role involves 14-hour shifts followed by a 10-hour sleepover, in a 2 day on, 3 day off pattern, with a focus on therapeutic care and safeguarding.

You will contribute to assessments, plan reviews, and direct care, while maintaining high standards of recording and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection.
• Willingness to complete training in crisis intervention and physical intervention.
• Full UK manual driving licence and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in line with policies.
• Contribute to assessment and delivery of support programmes.
• Attend planning and review meetings and participate in keyperson system.
• Ensure accurate recording of information in line with regulations.
• Work shifts including sleepovers and weekends.
• Undertake health and safety and other checks as necessary.
• Participate in ongoing training and personal development.
• Implement de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies.
