Job summary

Greenleaf House in Hawick seeks compassionate staff to provide therapeutic care for children and young people in a 24/7 residential setting. The role requires patience, professionalism, and a commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

You'll work 14-hour shifts followed by a 10-hour sleepover, in a 2 day on, 3 day off pattern, with additional benefits and progression opportunities within the Greenleaf team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a residential children’s home or related setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Awareness of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people according to policies.
• Attend planning and review meetings and participate in keyperson system.
• Ensure quality recording of information and health and safety checks.
• Work shifts including sleepovers and weekends.
• Contribute to development of therapeutic childcare practice.
• Promote participation, structure, boundaries and routine.
