Job summary

Oak Haven School is seeking a dedicated individual to support a small cohort of primary learners within a trauma-informed, nurturing setting. You will work with learners to access learning, build confidence and develop emotional safety through practical activities.

Experience with children and a Level 3 qualification are essential, with SEMH experience considered an advantage. This fixed-term contract offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a specialised provision.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children in a school setting is essential.
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding is required.
• Experience with SEMH or additional needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support HLTA in delivering a bespoke, engaging primary curriculum.
• Work with learners to access learning and achieve targets.
• Help create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Observe and record learner progress and wellbeing; share with colleagues.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and other professionals to support outcomes.
