Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our specialist provision supporting pupils with SEMH and SEND needs. The role focuses on thoughtful, relationship-led support within EHCP-guided pathways and a trauma-informed environment.

You will work closely with teachers and external professionals to deliver interventions, monitor progress, and help create personalised curriculum pathways that promote wellbeing and engagement in learning.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and relational practice.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in a specialist classroom environment.
• Deliver targeted interventions and structured programmes.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support aligned to EHCP outcomes.
• Use restorative approaches to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leads and external professionals.
• Contribute to progress monitoring and review meetings.
