Job summary

Central Recruitment Services is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker (Therapeutic Practitioner) to join a residential service in Coulsdon. The role operates 40 hours per week on a rota across 9AM-5PM and 1PM-9PM shifts, for an approximate 1-month temporary assignment.

You will support adults with complex mental health needs, work within a Psychologically Informed Environment, and contribute to recovery plans while maintaining safeguarding and strong multidisciplinary partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with complex mental health conditions using a recovery-focused approach.
• Ability to build attachments and develop action plans.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate.
• Willingness to obtain/hold fully enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Support a caseload of 3-4 clients to progress their recovery and achieve personal goals.
• Facilitate community groups under supervision.
• Work within a Psychologically Informed Environment framework.
• Co-produce structured recovery, risk and move-on plans and support clients to achieve them.
• Build therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
