Job summary

Caring for Communities and People in Wiltshire is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to lead a trauma-informed, child-centred home for young people. The role centres on safety, stability and meaningful relationships, under the guidance of senior managers and a dedicated team.

You will drive consistent, compassionate care, support routines and development, and champion young people's voices in care decisions—helping build a nurturing home from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• A strong understanding of contextual safeguarding and relationship-based practice.
• Good knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
• Flexibility, patience and confidence in responding to the changing needs of children and young people.
• A relevant qualification in Residential Childcare and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Creating a safe, nurturing and consistent home environment for children and young people.
• Building trusting relationships that help children feel heard, respected and valued.
• Supporting children with day-to-day care, routines, learning and personal development.
• Being a positive role model for children and for colleagues across the team.
• Championing children's voices and ensuring they are central to decisions about their lives and care.
• Helping the home deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care in line with Ofsted Quality Standards.
• Providing visible, accountable and values-led leadership alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.
