The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Support Worker to engage compassionately with people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. You will work with colleagues and partner agencies to build trust, understand priorities and help clients access housing, health, wellbeing, benefits and other relevant services.

You will accompany people to appointments, advocate when needed, and contribute to safeguarding, risk management and support planning.

Formación

• Sufficient interpersonal skills to engage with people experiencing homelessness and those at risk.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and outreach teams.

Responsabilidades

• Engage with rough sleepers and those at risk to build trusting relationships.
• Assist individuals to access housing, health, wellbeing, benefits and other services.
• Accompany people to appointments and advocate on their behalf when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and risk management.
