The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Support Worker to engage compassionately with people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. You will work with colleagues and partner agencies to build trust, understand priorities and help clients access housing, health, wellbeing, benefits and other relevant services.

You will accompany people to appointments, advocate when needed, and contribute to safeguarding, risk management and support planning.

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient Assistant Support Worker to engage with people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. You will work alongside colleagues and partner agencies to build trusting relationships, understand each person's priorities and help them connect with services in ways that are meaningful to them, Engage respectfully and persistently with people who are rough sleeping, including those who may be reluctant to access support.

• Build positive, trauma-informed relationships based on dignity, choice and trust
• Support individuals to identify their goals and access housing, health, wellbeing, benefits, substance-use and other relevant services.
• Accompany people to appointments and advocate for them when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with outreach teams, local authorities, accommodation providers and community partners.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning, risk management and safeguarding processes.
