Job summary

BCHA is seeking a Complex Needs Family Support Worker to provide holistic health and wellbeing support for families in Plymouth. The 19 hours per week role is permanent, on site at Millbay Rd, and aims to help families thrive and sustain their tenancies.

You will work as part of a small team to support customers and prevent homelessness, bringing a calm, personable manner and a commitment to safeguarding. Full training in trauma-informed approaches will be provided.

Qualifications

• Provide holistic health and wellbeing support to families in their home environment.
• Support customers and prevent homelessness within a small professional team.
• Receive full training in trauma-informed approaches, managing mental health, substance misuse and accommodation services.

Responsibilities

• Work with families to build trusting relationships and encourage independence.
• Liaise with external providers to access services that support customers.
