Job summary

WWIN invites applications for a Counselling role based in Sunderland. The post delivers one-to-one trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic services to survivors of domestic abuse, with education and group work alongside Outreach and Refuge teams.

You will bring at least 2 years post-graduate experience in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions from an integrative perspective, be registered with a professional body, and be flexible to move between Sunderland locations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years post-graduate experience delivering brief, mid and long-term one-to-one evidence-based psychological interventions.
• Experience of working with domestic abuse within a therapeutic environment.
• Registered with an appropriate professional body.
• Willingness to travel between Sunderland sites and refuge locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic services to survivors.
• Deliver education and therapeutic group work for trauma-experienced clients.
• Support Outreach and Refuge teams and share skills with non-therapeutic staff.
• Carry out administrative tasks related to counselling services and projects.
