Job summary

Hull City Council is seeking a Domestic Abuse Practitioner to provide trauma-informed advice, advocacy and support to victims of domestic abuse. You will lead high-risk risk identification, coordinate safeguarding across agencies and act as IDVA/ISVA when needed.

You will work within a multi-agency team, liaising with partner services and contributing to safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Training and policy compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Specialist domestic abuse risk identification and assessment experience.
• Experience advising professionals and coordinating safeguarding responses.

Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
• Lead risk management strategies for victims and children; undertake IDVA/ISVA roles for high-risk cases and coordinate MARAC involvement.
• Coordinate, facilitate and lead group work programmes and 1-1 domestic abuse awareness sessions.
• Represent services at MAPPA and other multi-agency meetings and ensure effective joint working.
