Job summary

Keyline Care is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a children’s home in Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will work with the Registered Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff, and uphold high safeguarding standards. The role embraces Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) and trauma-informed care.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years in residential childcare with leadership duties, a Level 3 Diploma (Level 5 preferred), and a valid UK driving license. DBS disclosure is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience leading shifts in residential childcare.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and incident response.
• Right to work in the UK and valid UK driving licence.
• DBS check required on successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day running of the home.
• Lead shifts and ensure care plans, routines and safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Oversee staff supervision, appraisal and performance management.
• Develop and maintain rotas to ensure safe staffing levels.
• Contribute to Ofsted inspections and quality assurance.
