Job summary

Swaay Child And Adolescent Services Limited in Bracknell is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to support the Registered Manager in a 4-bed children’s home, delivering outstanding care and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people feel valued. You will lead and develop staff, promote trauma-informed care, and ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

A Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare and a Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma (or willingness to pursue) are

Qualifications

• Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma or willingness to pursue.
• Experience in residential settings with children and young people.
• Senior/deputy experience with managerial responsibilities.
• Strong safeguarding and trauma-informed care understanding.
• Compassion and resilience with a positive role model to staff and young people.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the home.
• Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance.
• Support, supervise and develop the staff team.
• Promote trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
• Act as a positive role model for young people.
• Support young people to achieve personal goals and independence.
• Assist with reports and regulatory requirements.
