YourRecruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a children's residential home in the UK. The role combines management duties with direct care, 50/50, to ensure safe, child-centred and therapeutic support in line with regulatory standards.

You will deputise for the Registered Manager, lead the care team, manage rotas and safeguarding records, and engage with partners to support children with complex needs.

Formación

• 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role within children's residential care.
• Experience with complex needs, trauma or challenging behaviour.
• Staff supervision, leadership and team development.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and care planning.
• Experience in Ofsted-regulated homes and safeguarding processes.
• Ability to balance management with direct care.

Responsabilidades

• Deputise for the Registered Manager and cover the home in their absence.
• Provide leadership and support to the care team.
• Manage staff rotas, sickness and annual leave.
• Oversee care records, risk assessments and safeguarding docs.
• Support safeguarding, audits and Regulation 44 monitoring visits.
• Engage with therapists, social workers and families.
• Undertake direct shifts to support children's wellbeing.
