Job summary

Greys Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Creative Psychotherapist to join a specialist school in Essex, supporting pupils across KS3-KS4. The post requires a qualified therapist with registration and experience with SEMH, ACEs and SEND.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering individual and group therapies, aligning with EHCP targets, progress plans and liaising with families and external professionals to ensure consistent support.

Qualifications

• Qualified therapist with professional registration and experience within their therapeutic specialist area.
• Experience working with children or young people in challenging contexts.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and behaviours that challenge.
• Strong understanding of child development, SEMH, SEND, trauma and attachment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to pupils' individual needs.
• Assess pupils and develop appropriate therapeutic programmes.
• Support young people with SEMH needs, trauma, attachment difficulties and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Contribute to EHCP targets, therapeutic progress plans and reports.
• Liaise with families and external professionals, including CAMHS and social care.
• Provide therapeutic support within the classroom where appropriate.
• Support pupil transitions and reintegration.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional practice.
