Job summary

Greys Specialist Recruitment is working with a specialist education provider in Essex to recruit an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist for multi-site delivery. The post blends direct therapeutic work with leadership across the service, supporting children and young people with complex SEMH needs, ACEs and SEND.

You will collaborate with teaching staff, families and external professionals to ensure high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist with registration.
• Experience working with children with SEND and complex needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions
• Planning and delivering individual and group therapy programmes
• Assessing pupils' needs and contributing to EHCP targets and therapeutic progress plans
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Providing advice and therapeutic support to school staff and families
• Liaising with external professionals and other agencies
• Contributing to reports and monitoring pupil progress
• Supporting therapeutic practice within classroom environments
• Planning and facilitating relevant training for colleagues
• Contributing to the development and quality of therapeutic provision across the schools
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional practice
