Job summary

AWD online in Birmingham is seeking a Support Worker / Caseworker to provide trauma-informed emotional and practical support to women with complex needs within community-based court orders.

You will manage a caseload, coordinate assessments, advocacy and referrals, and work with criminal justice, health, housing and other partners to help women progress through the Intensive Supervision Court Women’s Specialist programme.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent) at minimum.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Experience supporting vulnerable people and safeguarding.
• Ability to work with adults/children in multi-agency settings.

Responsibilities

• Case management including risk and needs assessments and reviews.
• Provide trauma-informed emotional and practical support one-to-one.
• Facilitate interventions and workshops on related topics.
• Advocate and work with partner agencies in CJ, health and housing.
• Attend court reviews and support progression through programmes.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate as needed.
• Support pathways relating to abuse, violence or exploitation.
• Maintain records, notes and reports of outcomes.
