Job summary

Riverside is seeking an Engagement and Development Worker to join a dedicated team delivering personalised programmes for diverse customers across Wirral. The role involves lightened responsibilities around creating activities, working with external organisations, and ensuring customer growth and independence.

You will need experience with vulnerable groups, risk assessments, and delivering activity programmes in supported housing.

Qualifications

• Understanding of barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and health and safety requirements.
• Experience of devising and delivering activity programmes within supported housing.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop independent living skills.
• Co-produce Riverside’s commitment statement with customers.
• Apply for grants and fund raising for planned activities and events.
• Encourage and support customers to lead their own interest groups and activity sessions.
• Market programme of activities to ensure participation by all customers.
• Identify opportunities for employment, education and training and support customers to access them.
• Deliver programmes reflective of different customer needs, including culture and diversity.
• Signpost customers to external support services, including food banks and community resources.
• Support customers to maintain financial independence through budgeting and income maximisation.
• Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure customer safety.
