Job summary

Riverside Group is seeking a Support Worker for its Railway Road Project in Leigh. This permanent, part-time role (15 hours per week) focuses on providing structured support to vulnerable customers, helping them access services, manage money, benefits and move towards independent tenancies.

The role requires empathy, resilience, and flexibility to cover shifts including days and weekends. You will maintain records, collaborate with partners, and contribute to safeguarding and outcomes for

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
• Team player with caring, empathetic nature and resilient, can-do attitude.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people – this could include having your own lived experience of homelessness or drug or alcohol addiction.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, including weekends and lone working.

Responsibilities

• Support customers to access employability coaches and other services.
• Assist with money management, benefits signups and moving to permanent housing.
• Record and maintain accurate information and admin tasks.
• Support customers to be tenancy ready and financially independent.
• Signpost to external services and maintain safeguarding practices.
