Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Registered Manager for an Ofsted-regulated Children’s Home in Hampshire. You will lead a team, ensure safety and use a trauma-informed approach to support children aged 10-17.

The role requires a Level 5 Diploma and Ofsted registration, with a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, and a salary of £50,564 to £56,219 plus a £3,000 market supplement, based at Berry View, Andover.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or willing to work towards it.
• Meet Ofsted registration requirements.
• Extensive management experience in residential care for vulnerable children.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and trauma-informed care understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day running of the home.
• Drive compliance with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.
• Champion child-centred practice and ensure care plans are followed.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to support positive outcomes.
• Develop and support staff through recruitment, training and supervision.
• Manage budgets, staffing and equipment to run the home efficiently.
