Powys County Council seeks a dedicated professional to join the child exploitation team, delivering intervention plans and advocating for children’s voices. You will support families, run group sessions, and provide community awareness training, with travel essential to reach children and professionals.

The role requires safeguarding awareness and a trauma-informed approach to children’s recovery within schools, colleges, and communities.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about supporting change for children and young people.
• Creative when planning how to communicate and listen to children.
• Passionate about raising awareness within our communities and across professional networks.
• Be organized and flexible to accommodate change.
• Identify risk and seek support required to safeguard the children and young people that you support.

Responsabilités

• Developing co-produced, evidence based, intervention plans with children and young people.
• Advocating the children's voice.
• Supporting parents and or carers, recognising that child exploitation can have lasting and detrimental impact on entire families.
• Developing and delivering group work sessions with children and young people.
• Providing community awareness raising and professional training sessions.
• The ability to travel is essential.
