Job summary

Fair Ways in the Brecon Beacons area seeks a Children's Intervention/Residential Support Worker to join our team in residential and intervention homes. You will support up to 5 children aged up to 18 who have experienced trauma, using therapeutic approaches and activity-based programmes.

The role involves trauma-informed responses, safeguarding, recording and communicating with colleagues, and helping young people develop self-esteem and pro-social skills through outdoor and indoor activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Must have a full driving licence and access to a car.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed support to young people during times of crisis.
• Safeguard young people and manage safeguarding issues with reporting per policy.
• Maintain professional boundaries and provide guidance and care.
• Encourage participation in outdoor/indoor activities to build confidence and learning.
• Maintain a safe, homely environment and high standards of care.
• Document and communicate information to promote welfare.
