Job summary

Kyloe House, a secure children's home near Morpeth, Northumberland, part of Northumberland County Council, seeks a dedicated Behaviour Support Officer to advance young people's learning in classrooms and in liaison with the class teacher.

You will plan, prepare and support lessons, monitor pupils' progress and report on achievement; emotional resilience and CALM experience are essential; starting salary £25,485.96 with LGPS and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a secure children's home.
• Ability to support learning in various classroom settings.
• Calm disposition and ability to manage challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and support in lessons in liaison with the class teacher.
• Monitor pupils, assess progress and report on achievement and development.
• Work with individual pupils or groups and whole classes when the teacher is absent.
